Nathan Exposed: the naked truth about my gay life

Whenever I go to PetSmart, I stop by the cat adoption center to visit them. I feel bad for them, being stuck in cages with about an inch between their bed, their litter box, and their food/water supply. But I guess it’s better than wandering the streets.

There are toys on a table by the cages so you can play with the cats. I always get the toy out and play with each cat individually. There are usually between 10-15 at any given day.

I also read about their history, their story, and call them by their names. One cat that really caught my attention yesterday was a little girl named Hoot. She’s a 3 month old Tortoiseshell with a very desperate need for attention. She climbed to the top of the cage and was sticking her paws out, trying to get my attention. A very energetic girl, I bet she’d be a handful.

We have no plans to get anymore pets, as we already have 2 cats and a dog. But Hoot has left a lasting impression with me. Above is a photo I found online of a similar cat. She really does look like a little owl.

Another cat was Daisy. This really is her in the photo. She was found wondering the streets with her 3 sisters. She just had a sweetness about her. When I got to her, she stuck her head out in that way cats do when they want their chins scratched.

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a black cat. Did you know that real black cats are rare? Many black cats were burned to death or killed in other ways because idiotic people believed they were evil. As a result, most black cats have at least a spot of some other color on them because they are mixed. But if I remember correctly, Daisy was the real deal. All black and 100% sweetness.

Well girls, I hope you find good homes really soon!
