A few weeks ago, I discussed how I felt that investing $157 Million into a wall around Sand Diego was a bad idea. The idea is to stop illegal immigrants from crossing over. Many of you chimed in to say that you agree something better needs to be done to alleviate immigration problems.

Well now we’re already seeing proof of what havoc these walls can create.

Residents of southwest Arizona were flooded when a newly built wall kept all the debris and water from flowing its natural course.

In fact, it turns out there were environmental laws in effect to prevent this very thing from happening. But Homeland Defense Secretary Michael Chertoff overrode these laws in an effort to quickly build 670 miles of walls against Mexico. There are 2,000 miles of border between Mexico and the U.S., and these types of walls would cover more than 33% of them.

Listen up, people. We need to think about the environmental impacts it’s going to have if we stop the flow of 33% of a border. Where is the water going to go? Once the ground is saturated, there’s nowhere for it to go except up. I don’t think anyone wants that.

We can’t just build a big wall around the U.S. We need stiffer laws to hold employers accountable for paying illegal immigrants under the table. We need more background checks. The system is flawed, and no wall can fix that.

It didn’t work in China and it won’t work here, regardless of what the chucklehead Republicans think.

The problem with American jobs isn’t because of Mexican guest workers, it’s because the Republicrats sent all the jobs to China and India. But the idiots would rather beat up on a non-white immigrant than address the ACTUAL problem.

I guess it’s tolerably plain where i stand on the issue, eh?
