CSS Exposed

I’ve updated my blog design for 2008. I try to change it once per year. As usual, it was a bit of a challenge. I would get everything nice and neat for Firefox and Safari, then I’d check it in Internet Explorer and it looked like a broken mess.

This is the first edition that has been completely designed using CSS DIV’s, which Internet Explorer does not play nice with. I’m awful with programming, but as far as I know, I pulled it off with this one.

I finally changed the logo I’ve been using for 3 years. I always liked that cracked font, it was the same font used for the “Psycho” movie posters. But it was time for something new.

Please let me know if you have problems viewing the site because I want to know.

When I opened the comments to your next post, they were like shrinking boxes (I am so non-technical)–so the type got smaller and smaller, and the last 2 were unreadable.

Maybe a glitch in your new format?

I’m just glad you didn’t get rid of the dropped trou pic.

I don’t really like the header :blush: Nor the Hillary logo, I think you could write on a diagonal stripe “I support Hillary” and have it on the top-left corner of the site. Oh! And be careful, it also breaks for small screen resolutions, like 800×600px. However, I do like how you tied in the rest of the layout with the new colors and straight lines.

I love the new look. It has a cleaner line, so somehow the eye travels over it better. I’m not great at putting that into words, but it just works better somehow.

I notice that your posts have taken a more insightful turn recently. They make me think about things I wouldn’t have thought about if not for your posts. Thanks for the provocation!

I love it. I think your “pants down” logo is one of the more creative blog banners I’ve seen. I am a bit partial to the “psycho” font though.
