My blog is now once again open to comments from unregistered users. Over a year ago, I changed the administrative settings so people would be required to register a username and password with a valid e-mail address before they could comment. As a result, I have had absolutely zero spam because no spammer is going to register with a real e-mail address. Needless to say, it’s been heavenly. But I’ve decided to give this a shot again and see how it goes. To be honest, curiosity is what is motivating me to try this. Every day, people come to my blog, and I have no idea who they are. I thought maybe this would warm them up to giving me a shout. 
Great idea to open your comments up for all. I have an account with you but it is always a pain in the ass to try to remember the password. If you would upgrade from IE 3.0, you’d probably find out that browsers today have a feature called “Save Password”, and then you never have to remember it again… on any site. But I’m not one to judge On a separate but related note, I had a nightmare last night that everyone was angry because they thought the new form was ugly. I was trying to explain that it was just a few additional boxes and didn’t affect the design at all, but they insisted it did.
