Why do I continuously hear news reports about women who leave their children in the car, windows completely up, and then the child dies from the heat? It’s tragic and fucking ridiculous. What an awful way to die. If you’re going to bring a child into this world, at least have the sense to take care of the child and not put it in horrible situations that can easily be prevented! < end rant > 
As high profile as these cases are, I’m afraid that the reason for it goes far beyond just a parent being silly. You know, I’ve blogged on our entire world going nuts nowadays. They just, quite simply, don’t know right from wrong, good from bad, common sense from idiocy (is that even a word???). People are screwed up….bad.
