1. Do you try to look hot when you go to the grocery store just in case someone recognizes you from your blog?

I am a total slob when I go to the store. I’m lucky people don’t think I’m homeless.

2. Are the photos you post Photoshopped or otherwise altered?

Yep, sometimes.

3. Do you like it when creeps or dorks email you?

Dorks are always welcome. Creeps are not.

4. Do you lie in your blog?

Nope, not lie. But if it will make a story funnier, I will leave out details.

5. Are you passive-aggressive in your blog?

Nope. In fact, I try to write as if nobody is reading so that posts never feel like they are somehow aimed at a specific person.

6. Do you ever threaten to quit writing so people will tell you not to stop?

No way!

7. Are you in therapy? If not, should you be? If so, is it helping?

I’m not, but I have been before. It can be very helpful to talk with a trained professional about your feelings.

8. Do you delete mean comments? Do you fake nice ones?

I don’t get mean comments anymore because I’ve taken careful measures to run off the people who brought negativity and drama here. But if I do get a mean comment, yes, I will absolutely delete it. I don’t like cruelty or fighting. As for fake ones, nope.

9. Have you ever rubbed one out while reading a blog? How about after?

Yes and yes.

10. If your readers knew you in person, would they like you more or like you less?

I am significantly different when you meet me in person. I can’t tell if people like me more or less after they meet me, but they do always comment on how quiet I am in person.

11. Do you have a job?

Yep.

12. If someone offered you a decent salary to blog full-time without restrictions, would you do it?

Probably not. Even without the restrictions, there is an unspoken feeling of pressure to perform when you are paid.

13. Which blogger do you want to meet in real life?

Too many to name.

14. Which bloggers have you made out with?

What have you heard?

15. Do you usually act like you have more money or less money than you really have?

More money. People who are successful with money often get that way because they are comfortable with a lifestyle that involves that. So acting like you have more money empowers you to gain more money. All part of the law of attraction.

16. Does your family read your blog?

No, and I plan to keep it that way.

17. How old is your blog?

Going on 2 years.

18. Do you get more than 1000 page views per day? Do you care?

I’m not even sure now. I only care a little. I’m more interested in the quality of people than the numbers.

19. Do you have another secret blog in which you write about being depressed, slutty, or a liar?

I have many secret blogs, but none that pertain to the options mentioned.

20. Have you ever given another blogger money for his/her writing?

Not specifically, but I have participated in their charities.

21. Do you report the money you earn from your blog on your taxes?

You don’t have to until you earn over $600. We’ll see what 2007 brings.

22. Is blogging narcissistic?

Nah, it’s a great way to archive your thoughts and life.

23. Do you feel guilty when you don’t post for a long time?

A little.

24. Do you like John Mayer?

Why? Did he say he liked me?

25. Do you have enemies?

There are people that I’m sure don’t like me, but I don’t know that they are enemies. I think of an enemy as someone who would physically threaten me, and I don’t think I have any of those.

26. Are you lonely?

Rarely.

27. Why bother?

Because if you don’t bother, there’s no reason to keep growing.

Oh, well, haven’t we learned a little more about Nathan today…….I must say, we have! I think I’d like you in person. Even if you are quiet….and even if you’ve rubbed one out before/during/after our blogging with John Mayer at the grocery store.
