Nathan Exposed: the naked truth about my gay life

I always hear guys talking about their “type”. One person in particular is a repeat offender, and every man he meets is “an okay person, but not his type”. You know who you are, Mr. Bee.

It makes me wonder what my type is. The guys I’ve been in relationships with are extremely diverse. They don’t look or act alike. They all have different interests, they aren’t even the same color. The first was black, then white, then asian, and Rodney is white.

The only thing they have in common is that they are all older than I am.

So does that mean I have a “daddy” fetish? The term alone makes me shudder. It’s pretty weird to compare an older guy to your father, don’t you think?

But… well… one of my favorite porn blogs has a regular feature of “Men Over 30″. It’s my favorite feature. By contrast, the features with young, “barely legal” guys doesn’t really appeal to me. I remember that post-pubescent phase at age 18… It was not fun the first time. I certainly don’t think it’s hot to see other guys in that age group.

Yet still… I insist I don’t have a type… certainly not a “daddy”. :)

Do you have a type?

Yet another thing we have in common. Though, I don’t like to think of my “daddy complex” as having anything to do with any specific “daddy” of mine (I’ve had three, and don’t really like any of them). I really couldn’t tell you why I’m attracted to guys 5, 10, even 15 years older than me, but I am. And I’m okay with it, lol. But, as for my “type,” I’m sorry (but honest) to say I do have one: cute. Sue me.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a ‘type’… it was all good for me. BTW, like you guys, there’s an age difference between Chris & I - me, being older. Lots.

I have a wide variety of likes….and very few dislikes. I try to keep an open mind and heart. Like I always say, “It’s all good.” By the way, I found a t-shirt that I wanted so badly…but it was in pink, and size baby-mega-small in the little girl’s section at Target a few months back: I KNOW WHO MY DADDY IS. Perfect. For any self-serving gay man.

I don’t really have a physical “type”, other than healthy and reasonably fit. However, character issues are non negotiable.

              Ok, the “bee” speaks…

Yes, I’m such a MAJOR repeat offender. I can’t help it. I’m so attracted to the preppy, boy next door type… brown hair, blues eyes, like Peter Sarsgaard (yum)… oh and they have to have forehead lines… nice parallel forehead lines.

Sadly, I haven’t deviated from that norm, and everytime I do, I end up finding a glitch in there somewhere that pushes me away.

              Ugh, I’m hopeless.

LOL. Who’s your daddy. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that phrase at work…

I’m diverse in my taste as well. I tend to like someone a little more mature, but not decrepit. I do like the jockish type and muscle bears. Facial hair…yum! The best thing though no matter what a guy looks like is his sense of humor, it’s a requirement for me.

I’m glad you like daddies…I mean, over 30 men!

Well, Manny says it is not a “daddy fetish” but rather a “papi preference” He likes older men (good thing for me, I am 42, he is 29). He says Papi’s are sexy older men, and does not like the term Daddy, as he conotes it with a Daddy and Child, and he does not think of himself as a child. So perhaps, Nathan, you just have a Papi Preference.
