Reunion.

Tonight, Cathy and I got together for the first time in 6 years. It’s hard to believe, but we first became friends 21 years ago. Wow! And I still remember the day we met as children.

Thanks to everyone who has followed along and commented. I know this probably isn’t very fascinating from an outsider’s perspective, but it means everything to me. She’s one of the earliest memories of my childhood, and was a significant part of my youth. Now she’s a part of my adult life too, and moving here in just a few weeks. We had such a good time talking tonight and catching up!

There’s something so powerful and affirming about reconnectig to the friends of our youth.

God, you gotta love good friends….long-term, been through it all together, still friends, still loving and laughing. There’s nothing like it. It’s so warm and cozy and inviting….like a down comforter.

Aww - that’s beautiful. I still keep in touch with a friend from kindergarten, so I know how this must’ve been for you.
