Nathan Exposed: the naked truth about my gay life

dexterI haven’t heard much buzz in the blog world about Showtime’s new series Dexter, but I’m sure someone is watching because it’s been renewed for a 2nd season.

I was hooked from episode 1, and it inspires a strange fascination. One one hand, the character is a serial killer. But on the other, he’s like an angel of death. It’s strange how the mind almost justifies the killings.

Yes, this is fiction. But it does make you think. Dexter only kills murderers. In a way, he’s making the world a safer place and preventing the killers from claiming more victims. What a good samaritan. But then again, that’s playing God. I love that fact that the show makes you ask questions.

Michael C. Hall is perfect for the role. I’m so glad he transitioned from “Six Feet Under” to this because they are both brilliant shows. He makes Dexter feel so likable, so human. I love his facial expressions. Have you ever noticed most of the episodes take place through narrative? Michael has to use his face and body language to make the scenes work, otherwise he would just be a guy standing around. But everything connects perfectly.

Anyone else hooked on this show?

And, he seems so better looking in this show….I can’t really explain it!

I don’t have Showtime, but I wanted to see this show since it debuted. I guess I’ll have to wait for it to come out on DVD…

Oh cool. I was wondering about this show. Six Feet Under is my favorite series, and this looked like a good transition for Michael C Hall. Interesting show premise. I’m glad it got the Nathan Seal of Approval. I don’t have Showtime, but will definitely grab it on Netflix when it comes to DVD. Hope you and your hubby have a great Thanksgiving!
