Nathan Exposed: the naked truth about my gay life

I’d like your feedback on e-commerce sites. Most of you probably shop online, and I’m sure you have your favorites.

What is the number one thing that you see on a homepage that draws you in? What features make you feel safe and secure that it’s a reputable website? And what are some of your favorite websites for shopping online?

I’m asking this simply because I’m a designer and I like doing research sometimes. Most of you are internet savvy people, and I value your opinions. Don’t worry, I’m not opening up an online store for dildos *sarcasm*. I’d just like to know what’s popular and what you like in today’s online market.

Thanks :)

    I think I subconsciously (and now consciously since you brought it up) look for:

    1. How professional the page feel;
    2. If the domain name looks permanent and defines the business;
    3. Whether the street address of the shop is disclosed (if so, I would do a whitepages check);
    4. Whether the telephone numbers of the shop is disclosed.
    5. Whether a google search would return hits that would give you more evidence about the reliability.

    Hope that helps! :)

      Yeah, what Eddie said… I have been to some pretty dodgy websites, but Ebay is a good example of a really reputable site. Its designed well and all the rules, regulations and provisos are all nice and clear. Plus they send something out to you to register as a seller, thats a really good touch.

      By the way I’ve moved from wordpress, I really didn’t like it, and I’m now back to blogger, the new address is above! :)
