Expose Yourself: Fireplace Edition
Contrary to what retailers would like you to believe, it is not Christmas time. It is November, which is part of Autumn. Because it is Autumn, our home is decorated with pumpkins. Just doing my part to inform the public.
This is my newest entry in the looooong overdue series I created called “Exposed Yourself,” where you post a photo of something in your home. Feel free to play along and post something on your blog. I love taking a peek into other people’s homes.
As you can see, this is our fireplace, which Rodney keeps decorated for every season and holiday. Fireplaces are less common in newer homes since we don’t really need them. But it was one of the features we insisted on when we were house hunting. I think it’s a nice centerpiece for any room, even though we don’t really use it for its purpose.

I agree with the november completely, its not christmas time yet!
I like the sconces, very regal.
I don’t have a blog, but, I’m not sure I’d post a picture of my house because it looks more like the inside of a Salvation Army warehouse. I’ve got to learn how to quit shopping!
awww. so cute. and domestic.
im going to have to post my own image. but what…
Awww, you’re chimney is so gay
I mean, it looks fantastic!
Very nice but I didn’t expect anything less! Since it’s not autumn here in the land down under and we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving you’ll have to wait until closer to Christmas before I can take a picture of our mantle. I’ll keep you posted
I’m not home or I’d take a pic of our fireplace an dpost it for you. But I feel your pain…it’s NOVEMBER,kids…not DECEMBER. Pumpkins and turkeys, no trees yet, please. I’m waiting for the day I get to see that fireplace in person.
Nice touch. The thing I notice the most was the picture of Nathan and Rodney on the mantel. How sweet. I wish I had a picture like that to place on my mantel.
very nice!
This is so homey. And I just love that pic of you and Rodney. Love it.
