Random babble about TV

Let me start by saying thank you so much for the love and support I’ve received from you guys regarding the loss of our nephew. It really means a lot to feel the sense of caring and community. Even though we are divided by miles in between, we are all humans sitting on the opposite side of the screen, and it’s so comforting to have other humans around that care. :)

I’m not really sure where to go from here. There is a very heavy feeling of sadness in our household, and it can be felt when we talk to other family members on the phone. But let’s talk about something light.

Is anyone voting for the American Idol finalists? I haven’t watched all season, but I have developed an interest in Blake thanks to word of mouth and YouTube. I watched tonight’s episode, and I am voting for him. From what I saw, I think Jordin is probably a better singer (vocally) but Blake seems unique and I’m more interested in seeing where he can take this.

Speaking of television, I’m really looking forward to the return of Kyle XY and Big Brother. Kyle XY turned out to be a really well developed mystery, and Big Brother is one of those guilty pleasures that I swear I’m not watching anymore, but always do. Speaking of guilty pleasures, I have been a loyal follower of The Simple Life series and the new season starts next weekend.

I know, I know… you can say what you want about Paris Hilton. She’s the devil. But the show is funny, and I like to laugh. I watch what I like. :)

Oh, and on the topic of laughing, Kathy Griffin’s third season starts on Bravo next month. Yay! I love her. Hilarious.

Hmm… so this is a post about TV. Not what I expected, but there you have it.
