Madonna Song of the Day, #1: “Dear Jessie”
I know that my friend Vince is officially counting down now…just one more week until Madonna’s new CD, “Confessions on a Dance Floor”, is released. I know how important it is to him and his friend Scott, who are meeting in Chicago to listen together.
To get in the Madonna mood, I’m picking my favorite song from random Madonna albums each day. I’ll post the title and cover and try to talk about why I like the song.
Today’s pick is “Dear Jessie” from 1989′s Like a Prayer.
It was the first song that made me realize I wanted to be a father. It is very different from any other Madonna song. I really like the innocence of it. The baby laughing mid-way really gets to me.
Play along if you like, Vince, or anyone else.

I’m breaking out all of my old CD’s this week too – glad to hear I’m not the only one!
Oh . . . how fun!
Okay, favorite song from Like a Prayer is (drum roll please) Like a Prayer. I know, it’s very cliched. But it’s cliched for a reason – that song kicks!
